Assistant Director Responsibilities:
- Ensure the correct functioning and well-being of the site, staff, children, and families.
- Understand, adhere to, and be an example of the Company and Center policies, procedures, benefits, responsibilities, activities, systems, Core Values, and NAEYC Code of Ethics.
- Oversees the daily workflow, scheduling, ratios, supervision, and operations of the school.
- Trains, coaches, and evaluates Teachers, Cook, Assistant Teachers, and any other staff and Volunteers within the program.
- Promotes communication and cooperation among school, children, families and staff to create a spirit of unity in the facility.
- Ensures the tuition, program, and facility are in good financial standing on a consistent and ongoing basis.
- Envision and take pride in the school, program, children, families, staff, and appearance to meet the mission and vision of Magic Memories.
- Manages and directs the vision, planning, enrollment, and implementation of Summer Camp and alternative programs. Oversee the additional billing plans and payments that are associated with these.
- Attend monthly administration meetings as needed and be prepared with required reportable items as outlined by the Regional Director.
- Stay current on required personnel file items, training, and certifications and be sure to understand program procedures regarding these areas. Be competent and current in First Aid/CPR, Water Safety, and Fire Safety procedures and regulations.
- Participate actively and consistently in the Child Care Success Academy meetings, training, weekly calls, and conferences (virtual or in-person). Utilize the CCSA resource library consistently and implement new and improved ideas.
- Travel for Conferences and Meetings as needed.
- Work with the leadership team to support and assure the success of the company.
Educational Requirements: The Assistant Director shall have attained the following qualification levels:
- At least 2 years of industry-related experience
- 1 year of Administrative experience; preferred
- An Associates or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childcare Education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field.
