Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Intervention Specialist to join our team.
Duties:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct 1:1 therapy to children with autism
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Document client progress and behavior observations
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure consistency in care
Experience:
-Intervention Specialists must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a human services field of a bachelor’s degree and a minimum or 24 semester credits, or equivalent, in a human services field.
-An intervention specialist must have 1040 hours of supervised experience working with participants birth to 21 years of age who demonstrate functional or behavioral needs.
-They must meet competency requirements by completing the Department-approved Provider Competency Checklist for an Intervention Specialist
- or have the 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training
-Individuals who hold a Habilitative Intervention Certificate of Completion in Idaho with an expiration date of July 1, 2019, or later will be allowed to continue providing services as an intervention specialist as long as there is not a gap of more than three successive years of employment as an intervention specialist.
Skills Required or Preferred:
- Working with people with autism
- Behavior management techniques
- Developing and implementing care plans
- Experience working with children
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Understanding of behavioral health practices
- Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Familiarity with Special Education principles
- Working with people with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
