Magic Valley Veterinary Hospital has a great opportunity for a Kennel Assistant to join our team in a part-time role.
We’re searching for animal lovers who have a strong work ethic and are comfortable around animals of all sizes and temperaments. This is a part-time, entry level role with flexible scheduling, career growth opportunities, and personal pet discounts.
Responsibilities:
This role will primarily be responsible for kennel duties, ensuring our hospital is clean and observing behaviors of boarded/hospitalized pets.
- Animal handling, feeding, and cleaning
- Observation of behaviors, and knowing when to alert a veterinarian or technician about a change in one of the patients
- Medication administration
- The position is physical and involves a lot of standing and walking, lifting, and many chores throughout the hospital such as cleaning, dishes, restocking, garbage, and laundry
- Ensuring the hospital is cleaned and prepped for the following morning
- Additional duties as assigned
- Tu, W, TH; 3-9hr shifts
