JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician

REPORTS TO: General Manager
Position Overview: The Maintenance Tech III will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and systems. This position requires advanced technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong understanding of industrial machinery and preventive maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including conveyor systems, clamps, motors, and control systems.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Provide effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and address equipment malfunctions. Maintain and repair a wide range of machinery and systems.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and repair histories. Prepare and update maintenance procedures.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to minimize disruption and optimize equipment performance.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and equipment failures, providing quick and effective resolutions to restore normal operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role, with a focus on advanced mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. At least 10 years in maintenance experience.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery. Strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and other control systems. Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including confined spaces and elevated heights.
- Availability for shift work, on-call duties, and occasional overtime as needed.
