What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp STEM Instructor/Tutor - Robotics, Coding, 3D Modeling position at Magikid Robotics Lab Highland Park?
Magikid Highland Park is seeking 2025 summer camp STEM instructors / STEM coach / STEM teacher / coding instructor / competition coach to teach robotics, coding ( Scratch / Python) , 3D modeling and other STEM related courses to students aged 5-14 in our north Dallas location. Work hours are 9-5 PM between May 27 and Aug 9.
This is an in-person position in Dallas, Texas.
Magikid provides regular training on curriculum, student instruction and class management, mastering new high tech tools, and learning about cutting-edge technology trends and other high-end robotics education resources.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Instructing children in camp group classes using Magikid teaching material and lesson plans
- Providing a safe and engaging learning environment
- Assisting with marketing events, birthday parties, and promoting Magikid's educational programs
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- A passion for technology and education
- Must love working with kids!
- Previous robotics experience, bonus for Vex (VEX IQ, VEX Go, VRC)
- Experience in teaching, counseling, or working with K-12 aged kids
- Authorized to work for a US based company
Bonus points if you:
- Understand principles of engineering, coding (Scratch & Python), logic, or just like building things and solving challenging puzzles
- Are a self-starter, like to make things, figure out things, learn, or creative problem solving within specific rules or resource constraints (like a robot competition or gaming)
- Past experience working in a technology company or startup.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
