What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinarian position at MAGLEY ANIMAL HOSPITAL?
We are looking for a full- or part- time Veterinarian (DVM) to add to our fast paced, small/ mixed animal General Practice!
We are in beautiful Upstate South Carolina, located approximately 20 minutes from Clemson University. We are open Monday- Friday with no “on- call” hours. Our clinic has a friendly atmosphere with a strong emphasis on work/ home- life balance. We are seeking a compassionate, honest, and enthusiastic team player with a positive work ethic.
Our practice offers: adult & pediatric wellness packages, in- house diagnostics as well as outside lab resources, digital radiography, allergy testing, dermatology consults, ultrasound, dental procedures with digital radiography, surgical procedures, and more.
We take much pride in providing progressive patient care and excellent client communications.
Qualifications
- Veterinary terminology
- Proficient in animal handling, care, and physiology
- Understanding of animal anatomy and husbandry practices
- critical care and animal restraint
- Skills in dog handling, pet grooming, and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equine care
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive veterinary care to animals, ensuring their health and well-being.
- Perform routine examinations and assessments, utilizing knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, demonstrating proficiency in veterinary terminology.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during procedures, employing effective animal handling techniques.
- Assist in surgical procedures and critical care situations, utilizing aseptic techniques and laboratory skills.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and husbandry practices.
