Summary of Responsibilities
Position involves the operation of ride on Zamboni style cleaning machine, and performing of custodial work in industrial areas and other facility areas as needed in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- To maintain the equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner
- Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines
- Performs activities in support of spill prevention, control and countermeasures
- Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light bulbs and fixtures
- Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas
- Removes waste from trash receptacles throughout facility and exterior areas and transports to exterior dumpsters
- Remove debris from outside areas of building and lot
- Use cleaning supplies and equipment
- May also sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
- Collect and recycle oil and fluids from machinery throughout the facility
- To have the ability to work weekends and over time as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Clean common areas including break rooms, hall ways, and restrooms

Qualifications
- Prior experience in janitorial roles including but not limited to custodial work, buildings and grounds, etc.
- Able to read, write and speak English without the aid of a translator
- Able and willing to stand throughout a shift
- On-site attendance is an essential function of this position
- Working with safety in mind at all time
Education and Experience Required
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
Work Environment
- Must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees of all departments, management, customers and suppliers
- Flexible hours and able to work additional hours as required
