About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented accounting professional to lead our field accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with hotel operations, PMS and POS systems, and a centralized corporate accounting environment within the hospitality industry. This role will be pivotal in implementing and providing training in property-level accounting processes. This role requires expertise in hotel PMS/POS platforms, USALI, and GAAP, and a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate challenges and improve processes. Travel up to 50% may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of property-level accounting functions/SOPs, including training and implementation.
- Create user-friendly job aids for each property accounting function.
- Ongoing evaluation of processes for improvement, training needs, and efficiency.
- Facilitate in-person and/or remote training sessions as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in PMS and POS systems for major hospitality brands such as Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, IHG.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, present findings to executives, and drive a TEAM-oriented culture within the organization.
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, accounting, and the ability to bridge the gap between the two functions in order to reduce inefficiency and improve timeliness and accuracy.
