Job Title: Records Clerk
Position Summary:
Magna Legal Services is seeking a Records Clerk to join our team in Riverside, CA! In this role, you will perform a variety of clerical related duties, to assist us in obtaining medical and business records for our clients (law firms and insurance companies) to use either in pending or ongoing litigation. Our ideal candidate will be a team player who can work in a fast-paced environment, will have high attention to detail, can function independently, and is reliable in work attendance. This position is on-site at our office in Riverside, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inbound and outbound phone calls to medical facilities requesting confirmation of medical records.
- Matching incoming faxes and mail to the corresponding paperwork.
- Scanning documents and uploading them into our system.
- General data entry and updating files.
- Uploading files to and downloading files from websites.
Qualifications:
- At least 1-2 years relevant work experience (i.e. general clerical work in an office setting, although a legal or medical background is strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
- The ability to type at least 30 wpm.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Knowledge of HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work on-site in Riverside, CA.
Compensation: USD $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
