Job Responsibilities: Position Overview Function as a Shop Assistant learning manufacturing and prototype concepts. Provide housekeeping duties as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate machines as qualified Lift, position, and remove work pieces from machines to assist in fitting and welding. Load, stack, and transport stock, tools, dies, and work in process by hand or truck. Cleas and scrape metal preparatory to fabricating, welding, painting, or shipping. Pick up scrap from work areas. Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Load and unloadsproduction machinery per posted instructions. Make visual safety inspections at start of shift and records on appropriate checklist. Report any abnormality of parts or machinery to the Supervisor or Lead hand. Change to other machines or jobs as requested by the Supervisor or Lead hand. Handle any other reasonable requests made by the Supervisor or Management. Qualifications: Some related experience preferred Highly motivated to work, learn, and teach. Education / Experience High School Diploma Currently Attending a College or University Special Knowledge / Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Professional verbal and written communication skills Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology.
