Job Responsibilities: POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Ability to respectfully communicate with people at all levels of the Magna organization and those of our customers and suppliers. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, data reports, financial documents, and customer technical reports. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedures, and process guidelines. Ability to create technical documents to convey issues, status, and corrective action. Ability to effectively communicate requirements and expectations in RFQs to packaging design and packaging fabrication suppliers. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Magna associates, groups of managers, clients, customer, and the general public. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, perform root-cause analysis, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and identify resolutions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Some of the physical demands of this position include sitting for prolonged periods of time, walking up and down staircases, occasional lifting, and occasional stooping and bending. Frequently walks to and works in production areas. Frequently wears protective equipment. Occasionally lifts/moves heavy objects. Constantly must be able to make good decisions in a high pressure environment. Occasionally sits or stands for prolonged periods of time. Frequently operates computers. EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED: Some of the equipment and tools used are computer, telephone, fax machine, copier/printer, and a projector. KNOWLEDGE: Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Project, Word. Familiarity with drawing/design software including Catia and Spinfire. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required. Leadership skills are desired. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or 5-10 years of related experience required WORK EXPERIENCE: Experience in the automotive or related industry would be optimal.
