Job Responsibilities: POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Must have excellent mathematical, organizational, and communication skills (both verbal and written) Ability to work in a team environment Ability to develop good working relationships with customers Ability to meet deadlines Ability to handle multiple demands Willingness to travel Must be willing to work extended or flexible hours as needed to meet customer requirements Must have knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance Must have a good working knowledge of stamping and welding processes PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Some of the physical demands of this position include the ability to lift 40 pounds, the ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time, and occasional bending and stooping. EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED: Some of the equipment and tools used are computer, telephone, fax machine, copier/printer, and a projector. KNOWLEDGE: Computer skills -Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Projects EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, or equivalent experience TECHNICAL TRAINING: AutoCAD and CAD viewer programs SDRC IDEAS, CATIA, or Unigraphics formats WORK EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment AREAS OF TRAINING REQUIRED: New Hire Orientation OSHA Required Safety Product and Process Overview Understanding the Charter Stamping Fundamentals Lean Manufacturing Overview 5S & Visual Management Business Management System.
