Job Responsibilities: KEY QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: • Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. • Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. • Operate standard office equipment preferred. • Certified Crane Operator and Forklift Driver or the ability to successfully obtain certification. • Ability to set-up and efficiently operate Fagor, Schuler Presses preferred. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: • Required to wear the following PPE: o Steel-toe boots (employee reimbursement) Protective footwear must comply with one or more of the following standards. (The standard number will be stitched or printed in the lining of the shoe.) • ASTM F-2412-2005 & ASTM F-2413-2005 • ANSI Z41-1999 • ANSI Z41-1991 o Safety glasses (provided by employer) Prescription safety glasses (employee reimbursement) o Hearing protection (provided by employer) o Gloves (provided by employer) o Cut resistant sleeves (provided by employer) o Hi-Vi Vest (provided by employer) • Long, sturdy pants (e.g. Jeans) (employee responsibility) • Magna apparel PHYSICAL DEMANDS: General factory environment with occasional expectations of the employee functional job description. • Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment to meet customer requirements. • Some of the physical demands of this position include o sitting for prolonged periods of time, o walking up and down staircases, o occasional lifting, o occasional stooping and bending. • May be required to stand in excess of 6 hours. • May be required to lift, push and/or pull 60 pounds. • Average mobility to move around a manufacturing environment. • Able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer. • Able to be flexible in hours of work on short notice in order to meet internal/external customer requirements (scheduled and non-scheduled overtime shifts, etc.) • Possible Shift Work EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED: Some of the equipment and tools used are computer, telephone, fax machine, copier/printer, and a projector. Various types of manufacturing equipment and tools. EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIANCE: • High School diploma or GED • Post-secondary education preferred, or related Tool & Die Setter experience in a Stamping facility preferred. • Minimum of 3-year experience with a similar position within a manufacturing environment preferred. • Profound knowledge of manufacturing and automotive processes and procedures. • Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. • Operate standard office equipment preferred.
