What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronics Repair Technician position at MAGNA WAVE Inc?
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assembling, installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic components and systems.
- Sourcing or fabricating parts for electronic systems.
- Ensuring all power and manual tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Interpreting drawings, training documents, and instructions in order to perform duties
- Use of ERP system to input or retrieve information
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Read and understand technical manuals and diagrams
- Ability to work independently and within a team while remaining professional with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- General understanding of electronic components, quality control, and soldering.
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, basic computer skills required.
Additional Responsibilities
- Understanding of the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS)
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma required
- 2-3 years of experience in the test, repair, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of electronics parts and components.
- An associate degree in electronics or similar field highly preferred
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking through facility.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on electronics components
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at times

Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm or Monday through Thursday, 6am-4pm. Some overtime as needed.
