Job Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:
- Follow, comply and enforce all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs (Magna and OSHA Standards).
- Drives forklift as needed and assists with the storage, tagging, loading, and unloading of parts in production as well as shipping
- Performs cycle counts or coordinates cycle counting activity.
- Ensures that inventory transactions are performed correctly
- Look for efficient travel routes and strategic storage locations to minimize travel of the fork trucks
- Ensure all drivers are adhering to safe handling practices
- Verify all vehicle inspections are completed each day
- Ensure material is stacked safely in all storage areas
- Make sure changeover racks are inside in sufficient time for the changeover
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- 80% Standing and walking, 20% Sitting at desk
- Physically fit and able to lift 25 - 35 pounds
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
WORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL TRAINING:
- 3 to 4 years logistics experience
- Fork Lift License
- Stacker Crane License
