Line Operator - Night Shift (4 on/4/off)

Responsible to operate and maintain assigned lines in a safe and efficient manner with high quality and productivity while working a 12.5-hour shift. Provide support to the line lead.

Responsibilities

• Safety: Performs all tasks in a safe manner, wearing required PPE and following all safety regulations.
• BBS and Near-miss reporting participation
• Create and maintain a team effort attitude and team approach
• Meet productivity standards
• Complete required documentation
• Troubleshoot issues with quality or productivity related to the team or the machine
• Make adjustments to machinery as needed
• Suggest improvements to processes or procedures
• Coordinate with lab personnel, Team Leaders and senior process Engineers for issues and improvements
• Perform 5S and other housekeeping duties required for clean and safe work environment
• Obtain and maintain three Certifications
• Train others as needed
• Additional duties as assigned

•  Education: High school education or GED equivalent is required. Ability to read a tape measure.
•  Experience: Recent manufacturing experience is preferred.
•  Physical/Cognitive Requirements: Work is performed on the plant floor with frequent contact with others.
• Requires a positive team-oriented attitude and communication skills.
• Must also be able to multi-task with little direction while maintaining a high attention to details.
• Requires prolonged standing and walking, frequent bending, stooping, and stretching, and manual dexterity.
• Required to occasionally ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs over extremely fast-moving machinery.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Required to safely access fast-moving machinery, which includes rolls with inward nip points.
