Responsibilities
- Works safely, at all times. Experience with lock-out-tag-out, arc flash procedures, and NFPA as applicable to an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Performs specialized electrical, electronic, control and automation system maintenance, equipment care, monitoring, troubleshooting and repairing, installation and improvement (CI) activities. Complies with codes, manufacturers standards, and local statutes.
- Removes, dismantles, and reassembles all types of mechanical equipment including pumps, rotary boosters, centrifugal, etc.; uses various hand tools, hoists, slings, alignment equipment, hydraulic presses, drills, horizontal band saw, heating and welding equipment along with typical shop tools and equipment.
- Understanding of electrical systems (up through 480V). Electronics & Instrumentation experience diagnosing and repair. Understanding & respect for proper equipment alignment & adjustment.
- Utilizes PLC’s to solve electrical/electronic/instrumentation, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic problems. Repairs and/or replaces components as necessary.
- PLC experience & exposure - ability to utilize in troubleshooting.
- Installs new/replacements equipment in accordance to blueprints & specifications for alignment, rotation, speed, etc. Uses relevant tools, measuring and testing equipment.
- Documents work and changes made to the system, collecting records/data.
- Performs welding & fabrication as necessary.
- TIG, MIG, Stick welding & fabrication skills. Familiar w pumps, rotary booster, centrifugal, etc.
- Ability to read & interpret documents, plans & schematics, manuals, etc. Write routine reports, collaborate/communicate w maintenance colleagues & other departments.
- Experience with computer based systems for PM’s, parts control and work orders (SAP, MP3).
- Works with resources resolving challenges and training initiatives.
- Other assignments & duties, as established in concert with Maintenance Leadership.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree or technical certificate from a two-year college/technical school (CMRT) . Associates degree preferred. Or 10 years equivalent, applicable related experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered
- Computer literacy required (logging information, research, record keeping, and typing is desirable)
- Experience with PLC’s drives, HMI & software programs; proven ability to systemically troubleshoot process equipment using a laptop and other tools required; experience with Rockwell programs strongly preferred
- Experience in continuous welding with CO2; argon welding in stainless steel valued
