Responsibilities
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Utilizes warehouse management systems SAP S4 HANNA to receive, bin locate, store, and process customer shipments in support of OTIF/FIFO policies.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Procures all warehouse consumables, manages through invoicing.
- Manages Fork Truck fleet. Ensures adequate maintenance and daily checks are performed to maintain the fleet in proper operating condition.
- Manages the site services team.
- Supervises inventory levels by conducting physical counts: reconciling with data storage system.
- Forecasts transportation for recyclables to maintain safe storage levels in waste locations.
- Conducts reorder, route, and safety stock audits to reflect changes in customer demands.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Assists Logistics and Materials Leader in achieving warehouse financial objectives by assisting in the preparation of the annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Assists in maintaining warehouse staff by recruiting, interviewing, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Maintains positive material tracking while in transit and communicates with customers, suppliers and logistics until product is received.
- Conducts/updates quarterly storage location and capacity audits to reflect actual usage to maximize warehouse layout proficiency.
Qualifications
- Technical certificate or equivalent from a two year college or technical school;
- Or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
