The Senior ERP Solution Architect provides overall strategy and solutions with regard to multiple processes they directly support. This lead position has a command of functional business processes in their areas of expertise, and in-depth knowledge of process best practices. Additionally, this person has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of SAP software, how it relates to company business processes and how it integrates with other software in the environment. This individual will be successful in their ability to deliver material sustainable business value through leading systems and process solution design and implementation. They will be accountable for providing overall direction and integration for multiple SAP modules, functional and/or business areas. This individual understands the business strategy of areas supported and works with multiple teams, customers, and business staff across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with individuals across departments (IT, corporate and line of business) and levels (staff to executive) to gain an understanding of business objectives, facilitate solutions, develop approaches and define deliverables required to implement complex business processes and solutions. During this process, they will provide input on latest technological and business development trends.
- Leads cross functional teams on global enterprise system and process transformation initiatives in area of process expertise, delivering defined objectives and business value. Guides and provides ultimate direction for projects. Routinely reports project status to senior management.
- Provides overall strategy for the integration of multiple SAP modules with functional and/or business area processes. Responsible for process analysis, functional and logical system design and implementation.
- Leads team members to ensure appropriate integration of processes and modules across the organization.
- Responsible for solving highly technical and complex problems for several projects. Maintains highest level of influence on projects and key customers.
- Maintains currency in enterprise technologies by participating in the evaluation of new releases or alternate software, interacting with consultants and user groups and reviewing business and technical literature. May be recognized outside of organization as an industry expert or a technology expert.
- Takes a leadership role in strategic and financial planning responsibilities within defined area. Works with management to manage supplier and internal customer relationships.
- Is responsible for developing technical or business process expertise within team through mentoring and team coaching.
- Travel: approximately 10%
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field required, Master’s degree or equivalent experience desired.
- Minimum of fifteen years of information technology or related experience in various business functional, technical and analytical positions with increasing responsibility. Minimum of ten years of SAP or related experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, specifically Engineered Products or Paper industries preferred.
COMPETENCIES:
- Full competency in SAP functionality with strong SAP knowledge of the FI/CO module, other integrated SAP modules and business intelligence systems
- Full competency with Finance and Accounting functional processes and other functional and line of business interfacing processes
- Working knowledge of SAP ABAP, user exits, customer mods, ABAP query, etc.
- Experience with enterprise ERP/SAP transformation projects and demonstrated project management capability
- Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization including senior executives such as the CFO and CIO
