Summary Description
Positions in this sub job family are responsible for managing or performing skilled trades and lower level apprentice craft work for construction, maintenance, and repair of facilities systems, buildings, and equipment including :
- Installation, repair & maintenance a manufacturing or field site environment;
- Installation, repair, maintenance, dismantle, and movement of large and / or complex industrial equipment;
- Servicing and repairing automobiles and their parts;
- Performing preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical);
- Evaluating and recommending equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield;
- Performing equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance);]
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment problems.
- Preparing technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.
