About the Job:
This is a 12-hour shift position, with 36 hours per week. You'll be working as part of a dynamic healthcare team, providing respiratory care to patients with a range of conditions.
Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary conditions
- Analyzing test results, including pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas analysis, chest X-rays, and sleep studies
- Collaborating with physicians to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with respiratory issues
- Adjusting and monitoring ventilation settings for patients requiring mechanical ventilation or non-invasive positive pressure ventilation
- Administering respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, pulmonary rehabilitation, and airway clearance techniques
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field
- Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Experience working with patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary conditions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
