Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit RN Professional

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough patient assessments, identifying changes in condition and taking immediate action to prevent deterioration.
   Monitor and adjust invasive monitoring devices, administer complex medications and treatments, and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
2. Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans.
3. Communicate with patients' families about their condition, prognosis, and next steps in care, providing emotional support during critical and recovery phases.
4. Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and changes in patient status accurately and thoroughly, ensuring compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
5. Ensure a safe environment for patients, adhering to strict infection control protocols and following proper handling and disposal procedures for hazardous materials and medications.
6. Act quickly and effectively in response to cardiovascular emergencies, utilizing advanced equipment and collaborating with the healthcare team in high-pressure situations.
