Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, identifying changes in condition and taking immediate action to prevent deterioration.
Monitor and adjust invasive monitoring devices, administer complex medications and treatments, and provide life-saving interventions as needed. - Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Communicate with patients' families about their condition, prognosis, and next steps in care, providing emotional support during critical and recovery phases.
- Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and changes in patient status accurately and thoroughly, ensuring compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Ensure a safe environment for patients, adhering to strict infection control protocols and following proper handling and disposal procedures for hazardous materials and medications.
- Act quickly and effectively in response to cardiovascular emergencies, utilizing advanced equipment and collaborating with the healthcare team in high-pressure situations.
