Job Description
Magnet Medical is seeking a talented and motivated CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating computed tomography scanners to perform diagnostic imaging procedures for patients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct CT scans to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies
- Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort
- Verify patient information, including medical history, allergies, and prior imaging, to ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate imaging protocols
- Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, ensuring proper settings for each scan, including parameters such as radiation dose, slice thickness, and imaging protocols
- Administer contrast agents or dye injections (under physician or radiologist guidance) to enhance image clarity during certain CT procedures
- Monitor the equipment during imaging to ensure high-quality images are captured and that no errors occur during the process
- Review the CT images for quality, ensuring that all required areas are captured and the images meet diagnostic standards
- Work closely with radiologists to ensure that images are of sufficient quality to support diagnosis
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to determine the best course of treatment for patients
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Registered Technologist in Computed Tomography (RCT)
- 2 years of experience in CT scanning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods
