CT Imaging Specialist

Job Description

Magnet Medical is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a challenging opportunity in Ord, Nebraska.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Preparation and Communication
• Ensure patient comfort and safety by explaining the imaging procedure and answering questions.
• Verify patient information, including medical history and allergies, to ensure accurate diagnosis and proper imaging protocols.
• Position patients properly on the CT table to obtain high-quality images.
• Instruct patients on how to hold their breath or remain still during scans.
• Operation of CT Equipment
• Operate and calibrate the CT scanner to ensure proper settings for each scan.
• Administer contrast agents or dye injections under physician guidance to enhance image clarity.
• Monitor the equipment during imaging to ensure high-quality images are captured.
• Image Quality and Review
• Review CT images for quality and ensure all required areas are captured.
• Work closely with radiologists to ensure images meet diagnostic standards.
• Repeat or adjust scans as necessary to improve image quality.
• Patient Safety and Comfort
• Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients.
• Maintain a sterile, safe, and clean environment in the CT room.
• Ensure proper patient positioning to prevent injury or discomfort during the scan.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field.
• Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) technology.
• Valid state license to practice as a CT technologist.
• At least 2 years of experience in CT imaging.
