Job Description
Magnet Medical is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a challenging opportunity in Ord, Nebraska.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Preparation and Communication
- Ensure patient comfort and safety by explaining the imaging procedure and answering questions.
- Verify patient information, including medical history and allergies, to ensure accurate diagnosis and proper imaging protocols.
- Position patients properly on the CT table to obtain high-quality images.
- Instruct patients on how to hold their breath or remain still during scans.
- Operation of CT Equipment
- Operate and calibrate the CT scanner to ensure proper settings for each scan.
- Administer contrast agents or dye injections under physician guidance to enhance image clarity.
- Monitor the equipment during imaging to ensure high-quality images are captured.
- Image Quality and Review
- Review CT images for quality and ensure all required areas are captured.
- Work closely with radiologists to ensure images meet diagnostic standards.
- Repeat or adjust scans as necessary to improve image quality.
- Patient Safety and Comfort
- Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients.
- Maintain a sterile, safe, and clean environment in the CT room.
- Ensure proper patient positioning to prevent injury or discomfort during the scan.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field.
- Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) technology.
- Valid state license to practice as a CT technologist.
- At least 2 years of experience in CT imaging.
