Job Description

Magnet Medical is seeking a highly skilled CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating computed tomography scanners to perform diagnostic imaging procedures for patients. This involves obtaining high-quality images of a patient's body, which are used by physicians to diagnose conditions such as injuries, infections, cancers, and other abnormalities.

You will ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure, prepare the imaging equipment, and assist the healthcare team in obtaining diagnostic information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Preparation and Communication: Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure, answering any questions, and ensuring they are comfortable.
  • Operation of CT Equipment: Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, ensuring proper settings for each scan, including parameters such as radiation dose, slice thickness, and imaging protocols.
  • Image Quality and Review: Review the CT images for quality, ensuring that all required areas are captured and the images meet diagnostic standards.
  • Patient Safety and Comfort: Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, including using the lowest possible dose for effective imaging and utilizing shielding where appropriate.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
  • American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) certification
  • 2 years of experience in CT imaging
