Job Description:
Magnet Medical is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join their team for a travel job in Port Lavaca, Texas.
This is a 13-week contract with 40 hours per week and 8-hour shifts. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CT scanners, preparing patients for scans, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure, answering any questions, and ensuring they are comfortable.
- Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, ensuring proper settings for each scan, including parameters such as radiation dose, slice thickness, and imaging protocols.
- Review the CT images for quality, ensuring that all required areas are captured and the images meet diagnostic standards.
- Work closely with radiologists to ensure that images are of sufficient quality to support diagnosis.
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Current licensure and certification as a CT Technologist.
- Experience working with CT scanners and performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
