A skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist is needed for a travel position at our partner facility in Middlebury, Vermont. This 16-week assignment offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with a talented team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Preparation and Communication: Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensure accurate diagnosis, and maintain patient safety and comfort.
- Operation of CT Equipment: Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, administer contrast agents, and monitor equipment during imaging procedures.
- Image Quality and Review: Review images for quality, ensure comprehensive imaging coverage, and work closely with radiologists to achieve diagnostic standards.
- Patient Safety and Comfort: Follow safety protocols, minimize radiation exposure, and maintain a sterile environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) or equivalent
- Experience with CT scanners and imaging software
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure situations
