Job Requirements
To be successful as a CT Technologist, you must possess the following qualifications:
Clinical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of computed tomography principles and practices;
• Ability to operate computed tomography scanners safely and effectively;
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills;
• Ability to lift and move patients as needed;
• Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and procedures;
Interpersonal Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment;
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills;
• Ability to maintain accurate records and reports;
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
Education and Certifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required;
• Completion of a radiologic technology program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT);
• ARRT certification in Computed Tomography; and
• State licensure where applicable.
