Magnet Medical is seeking a skilled travel nurse to join our team as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse.
About the Job
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to provide comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Labor and Admission Assessment: Assess and monitor the health of pregnant women at various stages of labor, including gathering health histories, vital signs, and physical assessments.
- Labor Support and Monitoring: Monitor the progress of labor through regular assessment of contraction patterns, cervical dilation, fetal heart rate, and maternal vital signs.
- Assisting with Delivery: Assist obstetricians or midwives during vaginal deliveries, including providing instrumentation assistance, suctioning, and other necessary actions during the birth.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure and certification in Labor and Delivery
- At least 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
