Job Summary:
Magnet Medical is seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Professional to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience performing diagnostic imaging procedures for patients and working closely with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Preparation and Communication: Instruct patients on how to hold their breath or remain still during scans, as required by the procedure.
- Operation of CT Equipment: Perform routine inspections and calibration of CT equipment and alert maintenance staff to any malfunctioning or unsafe equipment.
- Image Quality and Review: Document patient information, scan parameters, contrast media used, and any complications in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Patient Safety and Comfort: Follow radiation safety protocols to protect both patients and staff, including the use of appropriate shielding and adhering to dosage guidelines.
Requirements:
- Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Experience performing diagnostic imaging procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
