Travel Nurse RN Telemetry Job Description
The position of Travel Nurse RN Telemetry is a critical role in providing quality patient care using the nursing process and adhering to the healthcare facility's unit-specific job description.
Purpose of the Position:
This role requires the delivery of direct patient care, ensuring the well-being and safety of patients under their care. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in telemetry nursing and possess strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
- Conduct electrocardiograms (ECGs) and interpret results.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program.
- Previous work experience as an RN, preferably in telemetry or critical care.
- Current unrestricted RN license in the state.
Workplace Conditions:
- Frequent lifting, bending, and reaching.
- May require lifting up to 80 pounds using proper techniques.
- May involve standing and walking for extended periods, up to 2-5 hours at a time.
