What You Will Do
In this Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse position, you will be responsible for:
- Pre-Labor and Admission Assessment
- Evaluate uterine activity, monitor fetal heart tones, and assess maternal vital signs to determine labor progression.
- Labor Support and Monitoring
- Administer medications, provide pain management options, and assist with amniotomy if necessary.
- Assisting with Delivery
- Collaborate with obstetricians or midwives during vaginal deliveries, ensuring proper sterile procedures and instrumentation assistance.
- Postpartum Care
- Monitor and educate patients on postpartum recovery, self-care, and newborn care, including breastfeeding support.
