Radiology Technician

Magnet Medical is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Professional to work as a Computed Tomography Technologist. The role involves operating computed tomography scanners to perform diagnostic imaging procedures for patients.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure and ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Verifying patient information, including medical history and allergies, to ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate imaging protocols.
• Positioning patients properly on the CT table to obtain high-quality images.
• Operating and calibrating the CT scanner to ensure proper settings for each scan.

Key Responsibilities

The Diagnostic Imaging Professional will have the following key responsibilities:

• Patient Preparation and Communication: Prepare patients for CT scans, verify patient information, and position patients properly.
• Operation of CT Equipment: Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, administer contrast agents, and monitor equipment during imaging.
• Image Quality and Review: Review CT images for quality, work with radiologists to ensure image quality, and repeat or adjust scans as necessary.
• Patient Safety and Comfort: Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure, maintain a sterile environment, and ensure proper patient positioning.

Requirements

Candidates must possess:

• A strong understanding of computed tomography technology and imaging principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in electronic health records and documentation.
