Job Title: Travel Respiratory Therapist
About the Role
Magnet Medical is seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary conditions, including reviewing medical history and performing physical exams.
Analyze test results, including pulmonary function tests (PFTs), arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, chest X-rays, and sleep studies.
Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with respiratory issues.
Adjust and monitor ventilation settings for patients requiring mechanical ventilation or non-invasive positive pressure ventilation.
Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, pulmonary rehabilitation, and airway clearance techniques.
Provide emergency respiratory care to patients experiencing respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, or other life-threatening situations.
Assist with intubation, mechanical ventilation, and weaning from life support when necessary.
Educate patients and families on proper use of respiratory equipment, medications, and techniques for managing respiratory conditions at home.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop a holistic care plan for respiratory patients.
Requirements
A licensed healthcare professional who specializes in the assessment, treatment, and care of patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.
Proficient in conducting comprehensive assessments, analyzing test results, and collaborating with physicians to develop treatment plans.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate patients and families.
