CT Technologist Travel Job
Magnet Medical is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Lamar, Colorado.
About the Role
- Operate computed tomography (CT) scanners to perform diagnostic imaging procedures for patients.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure and ensuring they are comfortable.
- Verify patient information, including medical history and allergies, to ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate imaging protocols.
- Position patients properly on the CT table to obtain the necessary images.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Preparation and Communication
- Instruct patients on how to hold their breath or remain still during scans.
- Administer contrast agents or dye injections under physician or radiologist guidance.
Operation of CT Equipment
- Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, ensuring proper settings for each scan.
- Monitor the equipment during imaging to ensure high-quality images are captured.
Image Quality and Review
- Review the CT images for quality and ensure that all required areas are captured.
- Work closely with radiologists to ensure that images are of sufficient quality to support diagnosis.
Patient Safety and Comfort
- Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients.
- Maintain a sterile, safe, and clean environment in the CT room.
Requirements
- 12-hour shifts, nights.
- 36 hours per week.
