Job Description:
The Magnet Medical organization is seeking a skilled travel nurse to work in the Labor and Delivery department.
Skill Requirements:
- Labor and Delivery Expertise: Provide comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
- Routine and High-Risk Pregnancy Management: Monitor fetal and maternal well-being, manage high-risk pregnancies, and assist with deliveries.
- Labor Support and Monitoring: Assess and monitor labor progress, administer medications, and provide emotional support and pain management throughout the labor process.
- Delivery Assistance: Assist obstetricians or midwives during vaginal deliveries, participate in cesarean section procedures, and perform neonatal resuscitation.
- Postpartum Care: Monitor the health and recovery of mothers and newborns, provide breastfeeding support, and educate on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient progress in the electronic health record.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with healthcare team members to plan individualized care for each patient and communicate clearly with patients and families about labor progress and available options.
