Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you will provide intermediate care for patients requiring a higher level of monitoring and treatment. This role involves delivering critical care to patients recovering from surgery, medical procedures, or acute conditions, while monitoring their progress and responding to changes in health status.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with moderate to high acuity, monitoring their physical and emotional needs.
- Continuously evaluate vital signs, lab results, and cardiac rhythms for any changes indicating a need for intervention.
- Monitor patients with telemetry, arterial lines, and other continuous monitoring devices, adjusting care as necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent experience required.
- Current RN licensure in the state where working.
- At least 2 years of experience as an RN in a PCU setting preferred.
