MAGNIFY is excited to share a NEW opportunity for an enthusiastic and results-driven Sales and Marketing Director to join our Fredericksburg, VA hospitality client’s team and lead the charge in growing business while maintaining a customer-centric, welcoming environment for guests.
As Sales and Marketing Director, you will play a key leadership role in driving revenue, developing sales strategies, and managing a Sales Coordinator, while also taking on a proactive approach to generate new business and maximize existing relationships. This role is designed for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and has experience with full-service and banquet sales in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to drive business for the hotel, including group sales, corporate accounts, and banquet business.
- Manage and mentor a Sales Coordinator, ensuring they are supported in their role and providing direction on incoming leads.
- Proactively seek out new business opportunities and client relationships, while managing the existing client base.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients and potential clients through excellent communication, persistence, and service.
- Regularly track and report on sales performance, including revenue goals, market trends, and competitor analysis.
- Develop and implement marketing initiatives to promote the hotel’s services, including digital marketing, local outreach, and partnerships.
- Collaborate with hotel management and other departments to ensure client satisfaction and seamless event execution.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Sales Director or Senior Sales Manager role within the full-service hotel industry (banquet and event sales experience a plus).
- Proven track record in sales, with the ability to generate leads, close deals, and build strong client relationships.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills – must be a “people person.”
- Ability to thrive in a diverse, friendly, and fast-paced environment.
- Driven, persistent, and goal-oriented individual who doesn’t take “no” for an answer but maintains professionalism and rapport.
- Proficient in sales software and hotel management systems.
- Ability to work a Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule with occasional flexibility as needed.
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
