Magnify is searching for an experienced and well-rounded IT Manager to join a specialty manufacturing team in the Greensboro, NC area. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience tackling various hardware and software problems from tier 2 support to collaborating and presenting to senior leadership. They should be comfortable providing technology solutions to employees and working closely with third party software companies to adopt new technologies and efficiently use existing ones. This candidate should have prior experience working in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable handling any issue presented, from troubleshooting printers to creating and executing future roadmaps.
This position offers the ability to learn a great deal and be involved in all areas of the business. While it is not expected to know or have experience with everything on day one, it is expected that this induvial will be eager and willing to learn from existing team members to help the company succeed during a time of growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage technologies and provide administrative assistance for various systems
- Understand various IT troubleshooting and provide technical support
- Lead projects and people, delivering white-glove level support to any employee needed
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
- Control and monitor data, network access and backup systems
- Manage vendors
- Negotiate and communicate with third-party software providers for new software's and troubleshooting
- Learn existing and best practices for the business
- Determine when it is necessary to go into the office to troubleshoot issues as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field OR relevant work experience
- 7 years of experience in related field
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- 4 years management experience, overseeing a team of direct reports
- Must be comfortable stepping up and stepping back depending on the needs of the business
- Experience in information technology space and solving various software and hardware problems
- Must have experience with SQL
- Vendor management experience
- Must have experience working in both a cloud environment and on-prem
- Strong technical problem solving and communication skills
