As a Strategy Analyst in Airbnb's Payments Team, you will have a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of our payment systems. In this role, you will support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that will shape the way we handle payments and enhance the overall customer experience.
This individual must be able understand global trends in critical markets and identify growth opportunities based on customer needs. They will provide insights and recommendations to support decision making at all levels of the organization.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will collaborate on the design and execution of innovative payment solutions that align with Airbnb's business objectives. Your ability to inspire and motivate others will be essential in fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
As a key member of the Payments Team, you will report to the Head of Payments Strategy and Business Operations with a dotted line to the Head of Payments Regional Growth and Development.
A Typical Day
Research and develop strategies for the Payments Team, ensuring alignment with Airbnb's overall business goals and execution of the future state strategy.
Ability to evaluate comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats in the payment industry
Provide insightful and actionable recommendations to support key decision-making processes
Collaborate with various teams to ensure the successful execution of strategies and initiatives
Facilitate regular reporting and communication with the Head of Payments Strategy and Business Operations, ensuring transparency and alignment.
6 years of experience in research, analysis, or a related field within the payments industry; prior experience in the travel industry is a plus
Global experience in payments, working on initiatives in non-U.S. markets
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to interpret complex data and turn insights into actionable strategies
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
A passion to work on unstructured business problems to help drive and influence change
Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analysis
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on results
Knowledge of the payments industry landscape, including emerging trends and technologies.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally
Familiarity with collaborative project management tools and processes.

Pay Rate Range: $60-$71/hour.
