Essential Responsibilities
- Develop, refine, and optimize high-performance software solutions that drive cutting-edge scientific instrumentation, including transient absorption spectrometers
- Design and implement advanced real-time data acquisition and processing algorithms to ensure seamless and accurate research outcomes
- Work closely with embedded systems and hardware components, creating smooth, high-performance interactions between software and precision instrumentation
- Partner with hardware engineers, scientists, and key stakeholders to enhance system capabilities and push the limits of scientific discovery
- Build intuitive and responsive GUI applications that empower researchers to interact effortlessly with complex instrumentation
- Validate software performance through rigorous testing, troubleshooting, and hands-on debugging with scientific instruments
- Enhance code efficiency, reliability, and scalability, ensuring our software remains robust and ready for next-generation research challenges
- Fluency in C with experience in real-time or embedded development
- Knowledge of Python for scripting or data analysis
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, device drivers, and hardware-software integration
- 3 years of software development experience, with a preference for embedded systems development
- 3 years of experience developing software for scientific instruments, sensors, or data acquisition systems is a plus
- Familiarity with multi-threading, memory management, and performance optimization in C
- Low-level hardware programming experience, including working directly with microcontrollers, memory management, and hardware interfacing
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to effectively manage priorities to align with company goals
- Experience with MATLAB (preferred but not required)
- Experience creating plotting functions for data analysis
- Background in physics, chemistry, engineering, or computer science with some experience with spectroscopy
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This company does not sponsor applicants for work visas at this time.
