SUMMARY:
Supports all production and facility equipment during normal operation, performs preventive maintenance on all equipment, and maintains facility in top condition.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Routinely inspects and maintains production equipment.
- Performs minor and routine repairs including but not limited to painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
- Assists with the installation and modification of building or production equipment systems, if needed.
- Creates and maintains up-to-date service and replacement data files production related equipment.
- Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Creates and maintains preventive maintenance files.
- Ensures PMs are performed at designated intervals.
- Assist with procurement of service contracts/repair work; assists with purchase of many facility fixtures and equipment.
- Responds in a timely fashion to problems related to facility maintenance and repair.
- Implements corrective actions when equipment issues occur.
- Makes recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities.
- Inspects production related equipment of unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
- Maintains a clean, safe working environment.
- Possesses and maintains a high level of competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations.
- Prepares required reports and correspondence.
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
- Orders and maintain spare parts for equipment.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years' experience in a maintenance position, preferably in an automotive related environment.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and industry.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Demonstrates ability to plan and organize projects.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficient on Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
- Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.
- Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- MS Access experience.
- Programmable Logic Control (PLC) experience.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lift and carry up to and above 50 pounds.
- Use ladders and scaffolds.
- Work at heights and in inclement weather.
- Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information.
- Understand and respond to a diverse population.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
A large percentage of time is spent in a warehouse where temperatures are cold in the winter and hot in the summer and noise levels are moderate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.50 - $31.00 per hour
