Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. This role requires strong leadership abilities and a deep understanding of manufacturing systems, supply chain management, and lean manufacturing principles.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of plant operations, including production planning, scheduling, safety, and resource allocation.
- Implement and maintain MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to optimize inventory levels and production efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing techniques to enhance operational performance.
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure products meet established standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline supply chain management and improve overall productivity.
- Provide leadership and guidance to plant staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies regarding safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Experience in quality control processes and methodologies.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement strategies.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with various departments and stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- A degree in Manufacturing Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role plus 8 years in manufacturing or minimum of 5 years in manufacturing management.
