Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior plans and assisting with daily living activities.
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Collect data and document progress during therapy sessions
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized care plans
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
- Support individuals in improving their social, communication, and daily living skills
- Assist with medical documentation and maintaining accurate records
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for individuals in care
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and techniques, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse needs
- Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior plans accurately
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
Skills:
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and techniques, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Ability to assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Attention to detail for accurate data collection and documentation
This is a part-time role with up to 30 hours weekly.
Must be willing to travel to the Chatom location for the first month, for training, then periodically for meetings, trainings, etc.

Pay: $9.00 - $16.00 per hour
