What are the responsibilities and job description for the DIR OF FACILITIES MNGMT position at Magnolia Bluffs Casino?
Located on the Mississippi River, on the site of the former Learned’s Mill that operated from 1828 until 1962, Magnolia Bluffs Casino now calls this historic land home. The casino originally opened in 2012 and is currently owned and operated by Saratoga Casino Holdings, LLC. With numerous slot machines and ample table games such as poker, blackjack, roulette and craps as well as delicious dining options, we offer a guest experience unparalleled to others. In addition to our boasting casino, we operate a beautiful hotel with the areas only saltwater pool!
We are now looking to expand our team as we continue to provide the city of Natchez with the best customer service and gaming experience possible! Our current opening is for a Director of Facilities Management. This position will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establishes preventative maintenance plans.
- Oversees the day-to-day maintenance operations at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
- Responsible to supervise all building maintenance and repair of plumbing and electrical fixtures and HVAC repairs and kitchen appliance repairs.
- Evaluates and hires maintenance personnel.
- Coaches' employees on performance; documents and issues discipline as needed.
- Responsible for the ordering and inventory of parts.
- Responsible for making recommendations for training, evaluating, discipline and scheduling of staff.
- Responsible to work with Safety Committee to ensure safety measures are established and maintained.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local laws and OSHA regulations.
- Promotes a safe work environment by complying with Saratoga Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Promotes outstanding customer relations.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years prior experience in building maintenance, plumbing, electrical and HVAC maintenance. Three (3) years supervisor experience required. Valid driver’s license required.
Other:
- Able to lift 85 lbs. repeatedly, stand/walk/kneel for extended periods of time.
- Able to work in extremes of weather, on roofs, ladders, and scaffolding. Able to remain flexible in an environment of constant change.

Casino employees may be required to obtain a Mississippi Gaming License. Cost of license is covered by Saratoga Casino Holdings, LLC. Travel to Jackson, MS will be mandatory for this licensing process.
