Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cabinet Designer to join our team. As a Cabinet Designer, you will be responsible for creating custom cabinet designs that meet the specific needs and preferences of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design principles, material selection, and functionality, combined with excellent software skills to translate ideas into functional, aesthetically pleasing designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Creation: Use Mosaik to create detailed cabinet designs, including layout, dimensions, and materials.
- Material Selection: Advise clients on appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware options to achieve both aesthetic and functional goals.
- Collaboration: Work with the production team and contractors to ensure that designs are accurately implemented and meet quality standards.
- Problem Solving: Address any design challenges and find creative solutions to space constraints, functionality issues, and client preferences.
- Project Management: Track the progress of cabinet design projects from initial concept to completion, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, design software, and best practices to continually improve design skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience in cabinet design or related field (minimum [3] years preferred).
- Proficiency in design software such as Mosaik.
- Strong knowledge of cabinetry, wood types, finishes, hardware, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams.
- Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of current design trends, styles, and innovations in cabinetry.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with 3D modeling and rendering software.
- Familiarity with construction codes and industry standards.
- Ability to generate and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
