Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Supervise unlicensed personnel. Prioritize, allocate and monitor assigned duties of caregivers and medication technicians. Assist Director of Resident Services evaluate staff performance and implement disciplinary procedures. Mentor new hires during orientation process.
- Must be neat in appearance, possess a pleasant personality and be congenial with fellow employees and public. Must be capable of supervising staff, following oral and written instructions, and using own judgement and initiative in daily duties.
- Supervise healthcare interventions required by the residents, including administration of the medication program.
- Provides treatments (would care, injections, etc.) as prescribed by resident’s physician.
- Provides direct patient care according to the patients’ needs as directed by the patient care plan.
- Participants in the admission and ongoing evaluations of patients. Participates in the Care Plan Meeting process.
- Reinforces instructions given to the patient by Physician or Registered Nurse.
- Keeps Director of Resident Services and staff informed of any changes in residents’ status and maintains accurate reporting and documentation according to the policies set forth by the facility.
- Maintain a clean working environment in the nursing department.
- Coordinates nursing efforts to work with staff in the other departments.
- Communicates with confidence, professionalism, and competence with residents, families, vendors, and all visitors to the community.
- All other duties as assigned.
