Position Overview Magnolia Dental is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Specialist to manage and optimize our billing, insurance, and revenue collection processes. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end revenue cycle process, including patient billing, insurance claims submission, and payment reconciliation.
- Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility before appointments.
- Accurately post payments, adjustments, and denials into the practice management system.
- Follow up on outstanding claims, appeals, and denials to ensure timely resolution.
- Generate and review financial reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Communicate with patients regarding balances, payment plans, and billing inquiries.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure accurate coding and documentation.
- Stay up to date on changes in insurance policies, billing codes, and compliance regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or certification in medical/dental billing is preferred.
- Experience in dental revenue cycle management required.
- Experience with Dentrix Ascend preferred.
- Proficiency with dental management software and familiarity with electronic claims systems.
- Strong knowledge of insurance verification, CPT codes, and billing procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
