Maintenance Worker - Buildings and Grounds
Magnolia Management is seeking a Maintenance Worker – Buildings and Grounds to primarily be responsible for the short-term turnaround of renovation, construction, and landscaping projects at the school, office, and apartment buildings maintained by Magnolia Management and outlined by the Facility Maintenance Supervisor. A skilled/semi-skilled individual with prior experience in the carpentry/maintenance trades is preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, construction, and/or grounds keeping projects either independently with minimal supervision or with other members of the maintenance team
- Perform repairs as needed on properties including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plaster/drywall repair, appliance repair, painting, and minor HVAC
- Perform evaluations of properties and communicate maintenance/repair needs to supervisor
- Provide maintenance for service requests from Magnolia tenants and quickly turn over apartments after tenants move out
- Maintain the upkeep of the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC devices and fixtures
- Maintain mechanical equipment and tools through cleaning and repairs
- Maintain an inventory of supplies, tools and equipment
- Develop and maintain rapport with tenants, contractors, and co-workers as a representative of Magnolia Management
Qualifications * Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a driver's license and clean driving record
Education, Experience and Skills/Abilities
- Prior experience in construction, general maintenance trades and/or landscaping
- Ability to work independently and in groups
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in person and in writing
- Ability to stay organized and on task
Working Conditions
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, Eight-hour Shift
Work Location(s): Multiple
Transportation: A company vehicle may be provided under the conditions that the applicant is over the age of 25, has a valid driver's license, and approved driving record.

- Must be able to lift, carry, and manually transport heavy items up to 70 lbs
- Must be able to properly use hand tools such as drills, measuring instruments and gauges, hammers, screw drivers, saws, shovels, chain saws, grinders, nail guns, air tools, hedge or brush trimmers and axes along with other tools that are necessary for the job at hand
- Must be able to use and climb a 20' ladder and scaffolding

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
