TITLE: Transportation Driver
REPORTS TO: Administrator/ Transportation Supervisor
Non-Exempt
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The primary purpose of your job position is to provide transportation safely and timely, per established policies and procedures, and as directed by your supervisor.
ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate with the dispatcher on Two-Way Radio
- Be able to operate a Hydraulic Lift.
- Report to Dispatcher and pick up patient schedule daily.
- Transport patients to and from doctors’ appointments.
- Inspect the van daily. (ex: check oil, tires, first aid kit & fire extinguisher)
- Ensure that seat belts secure all passengers.
- Other related duties and responsibilities may become necessary to ensure that the facility's needs are met.
KEY CHARACTERISTICS:
- Highly focused and strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors, and the public.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a minimum of 25 years of age.
- Must have CPR and First Aid License.
- Must have clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations or 1 at fault accident in a 7-year period.
- Must be able to operate a tablet and complete computer trainings
This position is highly physical, with frequent bending, pushing, and lifting of approximately 75 pounds or more multiple times a day in a vehicle.
